Delaware County Pipe Lining Services

An Alternative Way to Rehabilitate Old Sewer Pipes

Repairing and rehabilitating old sewer pipes always used to be an ordeal. Plumbers would come to your home or business and dig up piping for replacement. This meant destroying lawns, tearing up floors, and even blowing out walls, which was costly and inconvenient. Now, there’s a minimally invasive way to fix damaged sewer pipes with pipe lining services.

Delco Storm & Sewer Services has provided commercial, residential, and municipal sewer services for more than 40 years. In that time, we’ve helped businesses, towns, and cities get the solutions they needed for sewer and storm drain issues. All of our services are performed by professionally trained experts who care about getting the job done right. Trusting us for pipe lining services in Delaware County means your business, home, or municipality will benefit from high-quality workmanship and long-lasting solutions.

How Does Pipe Relining Work?

Pipe relining essentially works by creating a new pipe inside of an existing pipe that’s cracked or otherwise failing.

Once inserted into a sewer pipe, a thin – but strong – lining material adheres to the walls of the existing pipe. This lining hardens and seals the pipe off from cracks, instantly stopping leaking and ending worries about a more catastrophic failure in the future.

How Much Does Pipe Relining Cost?

The cost of pipe lining services can depend on a variety of factors, such as the extent to which relining is needed and the availability of materials. That said, relining can average around $150 per foot of sewer pipe, but cost estimates can range from $80-$250 per foot.

How Long Does New Pipe Lining Last?

Once sewer pipes are professionally relined, you can expect them to last approximately 50 years. Keep in mind that 50 years is about as long as any length of sewer piping is expected to last before relining or replacement becomes necessary.

This is a ballpark estimate because the actual lifespan will depend on maintenance. If relined pipes are properly maintained, they may last longer and vice versa if maintenance is neglected.

Are There Alternatives to Pipe Relining?

If you aren’t sure if you need pipe lining services in Delaware County, the alternative is pipe replacement. This is widely considered to be a more invasive way to address deficiencies with sewer pipes because it involves digging trenches and light demolition. These are necessary to reach and replace pipes underground.

Pipe replacement may be recommended in extreme cases, but pipe relining is the recommended method for most trenchless sewer repair.
